Druce started the show with a little trouble engaging the audience even with a little shout out for participation and seemed a little nervous, resulting in a few stilted laughs from the audience. However, he quickly progressed, with the laughs becoming more frequent and less strained as the audience warmed to his genuine enthusiasm.

Managing to roll together several world current affairs into his set and overall theme, Druce gets some of his better laughs from the classic tales of the high seas, pirates and James Bond. Following his recent travels to India takes the odd deviation here and there into the various possibilities of adventure that his mind is capable of thinking up.

With a journey from the Middle Ages across the seas and back to the present day, Set Sail for Adventure is one show that is well worth a gander for the chance to see one of the new up-and-coming comedians. Seriously, who can turn down a chance for a good adventure?
