Fangs and Fetish

Forget everything you have ever heard or experienced in cheesy restaurant cabaret shows – Dracula’s takes a bite of comedy theatre and delivers a bloody good laugh!
Like kids in a fun park we were expertly herded, through the maze of webs, corpses and all things creepy, to the bar where Dracula’s ‘gothed-up’ staff had fun making loads of cocktails and mocktails (for those of us driving) complete with their own black plastic spider.

We then boarded the Ghost Train, screaming as it twisted and turned, shocking us with horrific sights of lurching mummies, giant spiders and fuzzy tentacles we tried in vain to hold onto our drinks before being guided by a sassy staff member to our table.
The show is great value (running for two hours) with plenty of contemporary song and dance from fresh and sexy performers who really look like they’re enjoying their work. The variety of characters and comedy skits is well-balanced, with biting humour from the host. Throw in some edgy puppetry, visiting Japanese tourists, an Indian with a giant blow-up elephant and tag team wrestlers in hilarious costumes, and you’ve got something for everyone. The special effects and use of technology are sophisticated enough to impress the most experienced theatregoer as is the lighting and stage direction.

The outrageously costumed staff (murdered nurse, sexy dominatrix and Beetlejuice), are funny, friendly and are integral to the success of the evening. The food quality, selection and presentation are superbly themed.

Bites your funny bone! Fang-tastic!

I went to Draculas last year for a Hens night and I was like shit this is going to be bad! I couldnt believe it when I actually left laughing. Sure some of it is cheesy but at least they really get into it and they make sure people are having a good time. Not sure about it being part of the festival though.

I went there not knowing what to expect with a group of rather conservative people. What a blast! The food was fantastic, the drinks well priced and the staff were sensational. The biggest thing that I noticed was how much fun everyone was having and it really spilled over to the crowd. The grizzlers in our group at the beginning of the night, well, they had to be dragged from the place at the end. I still couldn’t get over how good the show was, having been to Vegas on business, it is right up there with the best of them. I make it a “must see” event every time I am in Melbourne and so should you!
